Ensign-isms

An ensignism is a story about Taylor, Alisa, Cassidy, Mckay, and Kelsey Ensign. These stories may be elaborate or mundane, but with the combined personalities of our little family, they are sure to be entertaining.

Lehi Rodeo

It has become somewhat of a tradition to attend the local Lehi Roundup Rodeo. The animals seemed to be the overall winner last night as very few Cowboys could avoid being thrown from a bucking bronco, or bull.
One brave Cowboy holding on for dear life.

Not sure that I would be very good at this.

Our newest cousin

Cassidy and Mckay are very excited to have a new cousin...

When we got to the hospital to visit the kids were a little shy. Uncle Tanner helped out with treats and glove balloons.

San Diego (Wild Animal Park)

The last day of our trip found us at the Wild Animal Park. We enjoyed seeing the animals from a fun tram ride, feeding the deer and watching the bird show.

Guess who wanted to wear Dad's Sunglasses at the bird show?

Petting Zoo at the Wild Animal park. How often to you get to feed deer?

San Diego (Beach)

Our fun trip included a brief stop at the beach. I was impressed with Cassidy and Mckay and their lack of fear in playing in the Ocean.

San Diego Trip (Sea World)

We have recently returned from a fun filled trip to San Diego and Sea World. Thanks to Lisi's family for such a wonderful time.

Scottish Festival and Highland Games

Attending the annual Scottish Festival and Highland games has become somewhat of a tradition in my family, and not just because the Caber toss is awesome. My younger brother Grant and younger Sister Camille are participants. My brother, a member of the Salt Lake Scots bagpipe band competes individually and with the band. My sister is a Dancer. It was a soggy festival this year, but it didn't stop us from having a good time.

Guess what happened today.....

The Ensign's occasionally like to play guessing games.
If you would like to join our family game today,
then guess what this is.........

Here is a clue, clue.............
What did Cassidy do while Dad was at work today?
What was so funny, that though Mom should have been really mad she couldn't help but laugh?

This is something that Cassidy calls the "Magic Dancing Leopard"
She got the idea from a sticker from Grandma's house. Grandma gave her a sticker of a leopard, then decided she needed to be one. Thanks mom!

Toy Story 3

Still a year away, and we are already getting excited for it.

Cassidy and Mckay start "Germnastics"

"JUMP ON GYMNASTICS"

Cassidy and Mckay began attending their once-a-week gymnastics class. However, if you ask Cassidy where she goes on Monday mornings she will tell you "germnastics."

They were divided up into small groups according to age and went through various activities. Though both were a little shy at first, they warmed up quickly.

The instructor complimented Cassidy on her strong "Soldier Arms."

Mckay was having fun just "hanging out" upside-down.

Items to notice in Mckay's clip:
  1. He follows instructions and walks on his toes.
  2. He doesn't want help jumping off the beam.
  3. He has to leave his group and run across the room to tell his Dad what a great job he had done.

Item to notice in Cassidy's clip:
  1. The instructions were to "vault over" the brick wall..... NOT MY KID!
  2. The instructor kindly comments after "wow, that was amazing."
