Ensign-isms

An ensignism is a story about Taylor, Alisa, Cassidy, Mckay, and Kelsey Ensign. These stories may be elaborate or mundane, but with the combined personalities of our little family, they are sure to be entertaining.

A new talent

Recently I took a trip to the grocery store. Cassidy and Mckay joined me while baby Kelsey took a nap at home with Dad. It had been a while since I had been to the store so it was taking a long time. The kids were really happy, even a little hyper. As we walked up aisle after aisle, I kept asking the kids to calm down and talk in inside voices. I even reminded them a few times to not run and slide on their knees like the store was a big slip-n-slide. Near the end of our trip Cassidy had been touching everything that she could see: the bread, the garbage can, the water bottles, the milk, the eggs, the fruit snacks.
In the most patient voice I could muster I asked her, "Cassidy, Why do you keep touching everything!!!?"
She simply replied, "Mom, I am good at touching everything. It is my new talent!"
