Ensign-isms

An ensignism is a story about Taylor, Alisa, Cassidy, Mckay, and Kelsey Ensign. These stories may be elaborate or mundane, but with the combined personalities of our little family, they are sure to be entertaining.

WHY at MIDNIGHT??!!!

CHIRP!...........CHIRP!..........CHIRP!.......CHIRP!........CHIRP!!!!!!!

AHH!!!

Why is it that a smoke detector battery always decides to die at Midnight or later? Why can't a battery just run out of power at 1:00 in the afternoon, or right after dinner? Why does it have to start chirping after I am in bed and asleep? Two nights ago the alarm down the hall starting chirping at midnight. Luckily we had a 9 volt battery to replace the old one with.
Now would be a good time to replace any of your smoke detector batteries if you haven't done so in awhile. Why is now a good time?...Because you are awake!

Partying on America's Birthday

The 4th of July began this year with a new event. We traveled to the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon to enjoy the Brighton breakfast and parade. There was a unique sense of patriotism as we gathered with others to enjoy our breakfast in the top of the mountains.

The kids just mostly enjoyed catching all of the candy thrown by the parade participants.

After an already eventful morning we went to my Sister's house for a little BBQ and swimming. Cassidy and Mckay were like little fish that couldn't be out of the water for more than a few seconds without twitching to get back in.

They are very cute together!

As customary, the evening came with us back home lighting fireworks in our small circle. I think the kids were more excited about the tub of popcorn than they were about the colorful flames. It was a wonderful day spent with family, and a great reminder of the blessing it is to live in Freedom in our great Country!!
