CHIRP!...........CHIRP!..........CHIRP!.......CHIRP!........CHIRP!!!!!!!
AHH!!!
Why is it that a smoke detector battery always decides to die at Midnight or later? Why can't a battery just run out of power at 1:00 in the afternoon, or right after dinner? Why does it have to start chirping after I am in bed and asleep? Two nights ago the alarm down the hall starting chirping at midnight. Luckily we had a 9 volt battery to replace the old one with.
Now would be a good time to replace any of your smoke detector batteries if you haven't done so in awhile. Why is now a good time?...Because you are awake!

i can sympathize though i've only had one bad late night experience with smoke detectors.
mi and i were staying at her parents' house and for some reason we decided to spray raid on some ants that were sneaking into the basement.
apparently there was something in the raid that set off the alarm later that night. aaaaaargh!
lol. you never fail to make me laugh.
Brilliant idea! We've been our house a year and it's bound to happen any night now.
