Silly Face Contest

 Recently for a Family Home Evening we went to a nearby park to play.

 Mckay and Cassidy wanted their picture taken inside the slide.

These pictures were taken right before they ran into Dad.

 After the park we went out for ice cream.

 While eating ice cream we decided to see who could make a silly face. It turns out if we put our camera up really close to a person's face, then the camera does the "silly" work for us. None of the silly-face pictures below were altered. Either our camera does funny things, or we all really look this funny up close.

Meeting the Governor

 We had a special Memorial Day morning this year as we attended a Ceremony held at the Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery. My brother Grant, a member of the Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band, was chosen to play at the Ceremony and also end the Ceremony playing "Amazing Grace." The event was attended by many Veterans, Families of Fallen Veterans, and also Utah Governor Gary Herbert.

It was fun to see my brother on all the evening newscasts.

Kelsey has entered a bit of the Stranger Danger phase, and isn't comfortable with too many people, but for whatever reason, Grandpa was o.k... "this time."

Mckay's Preschool Graduation

 Mckay recently graduated from Discovery Time Preschool.

He enjoyed his Teacher, Mrs. Trisha, and learned a lot.

 For their ceremony they sang songs they had learned throughout the year, as well as took turns explaining what their favorite thing about preschool was.

 We are so proud of Mckay and the great work he did this year. He is very excited about being able to attend Kindergarden this fall.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens
