Ensign-isms

An ensignism is a story about Taylor, Alisa, Cassidy, Mckay, and Kelsey Ensign. These stories may be elaborate or mundane, but with the combined personalities of our little family, they are sure to be entertaining.

Who decides when Easter is?

Easter Sunday is April 24th in 2011. When I saw that I was baffled. Easter is almost always the first Sunday in April. Occasionally it is in March, or the second week in April, but April 24th! That is so late. No one will be on spring break for Easter and most college spring terms will be done before Easter. Seeing the date for next year made me wonder....

How is the date for Easter decided??????????

Thank goodness for Google! I love the feature that you type in a question and hundreds of options of resources pop up to answer your questions. Thanks to "Easter Trivia and Facts" Website I now know the answer. The answer is so strange it made me laugh.

"Easter is usually celebrated on the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the first day of Spring. It could take place any Sunday between March 22nd and April 25th."

Gosh, the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the first day of Spring. Who would have thought???
